VIDEO-REMOTE INTERPRETATION (VRI)
SOC provides Video-Remote Interpretation (VRI), an interpretation service delivered over a video screen.
VRI is an ideal solution for deaf or hard-of-hearing persons via interpretation with an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter.
It also adds rich context and near face-to-face communication for hearing persons. VRI can be beneficial in many situations such as communication between healthcare provider and patient.
SOC Language Solutions uses a state-of-the art VRI platform that delivers clear video and audio, both on-demand and by scheduling in advance. Our implementation team can work with your facility to review minimum technology requirements and the easy use of our app-based system.

Is VRI right for you?
Video-remote interpretation is the right service for you if:
You need a sign language interpreter, but an onsite sign language interpreter is either not available or not practical.
Your requirements for interpretation services match those of over-the-phone interpretation service and the interpreter and users still benefit from the use of videos.
SOC’s rigorous quality program
Our unique, consultative approach to language solutions anticipates customers’ needs and delivers quality solutions that solve real-world problems. Our interpreters and translators are vetted not only for their important linguistic skills, but also to determine that they understand our company’s values and agree with our approach to provider and patient satisfaction.
At SOC, we’re bridging the language gap one person at a time.
