VIDEO-REMOTE INTERPRETATION (VRI)

Video-remote interpretation, or VRI, is an interpretation service delivered over a video screen. VRI is the ideal solution for the deaf and hard-of-hearing persons via an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter. Even for hearing persons, VRI would add rich context and near face-to-face communication that would be beneficial in many situations such as communication between a healthcare provider and a patient.

SOC Language Solutions uses state-of-the art VRI platform that delivers clear video and audio.

Video-remote interpretation is the right service for you if:

  • You need a sign language interpreter but an onsite sign language interpreter is either not available or not practical.

  • Your requirements for interpretation services match those of over-the-phone interpretation service and the interpreter and users still benefit from the use of videos.
